James Holt
Partner & Head of Legal Search
James was responsible for approximately 5% of all lateral partner hires in the UK in 2025. Alongside his private practice advisory, James advises founders and leadership teams on senior appointments for early-stage and growth businesses, conducting founder-level interviews and providing strategic guidance on initial leadership builds. The majority of James’s work is focused on advising middle-market law firms, as well as a select number of international firms, on lateral partner hires and strategic team builds.

He plays a key role in identifying and engaging high-quality legal talent, providing detailed market insight, and supporting search processes across a range of practice areas. With a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach, Isaac contributes to building informed, targeted recruitment strategies that align closely with both client and candidate needs.
